It is okay be a social misfit. Five years. From being a Nurse, I am now on a different world where needles, threads and stitches are vital to come up with a statement piece. I guess, after all, Nursing strengthened and prepared me for this craft.
My parents may not be pleased that I haven’t gone through where they wanted me to be but I believe, with all my heart, I ended up where I needed to be. Somewhere I know I can flourish and more happy and that should make the huge difference. To date, my parents are my number one fans.
I never thought how this blog site transformed my views and imaginations into real life scenarios. It was 06/09/2011 when I published my first entry entitled The World is a Big Fashion Show. Indeed time flies fast. I am happy that somehow I’ve inspired a few readers from my fashion experiences, thought and holistically my story in my two years of writing here.
I am fascinated every time I do my patterns for my design, it has always been challenging for me to do better with my sewing skills. Sketching has been my forte and favorite. Learning all these foundation from fashion school is simply heaven. I always believe this will happen and it eventually did. Priceless.
The road wasn’t easy and it never meant to be a piece of cake , instead you should invest on time and a hundred-one percent of hard work. God has always been generous sending the right people for me to finish this race despite my shortcomings in attending Sunday masses.
Although at times I am down, these people He gave, including my family anchored me back on track. I couldn’t be more thankful for the support system I am getting. It feels good to be surrounded with people who always believed in you when times you doubted yourself.
If you have a dream, work hard for it. Let no one tell you that you can’t. Move!
I’ve learned that success isn’t achieved overnight. It takes a lot of every decent formula you can think of. However on top of all equation, God should be your center.
On a brighter note, as I write this, I am excited to face a new wave of challenges along my way. It will be a busy “ber” month for me and my team. Hopefully everything will turn out well.
